Accept or Decline Awards

This task must be completed through the student's login.

1. Go to My Illinois State and log-in using your Central Login information (ULID and password)
2. Click the Finances tab in the red bar near the top of the page
3. Click Manage Financial Aid Offers under the Financial Aid section, and select the correct Aid Year
4. Click Accept/Decline in the left-hand column, then click the Pencil icon that says “Edit”
5. Select Accept from the drop down menu next to the loans you wish to borrow
6. If you wish to decrease the loan amount, select Accept from the drop down menu, then check the Reduce box next to it, and type in the new loan amount
7. Click Submit

Important Notes

Any Financial Aid shown in the award list will be split in half between fall and spring semesters unless they indicate otherwise. To see the specific amount per semester, select the name of the award.

The Illinois State MAP Grant is estimated off of a 15 credit hour enrollment and is subject to change.

Before you receive funds from a federal loan, you must complete the Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note.
